Day Eleven - Driving to PA

July 28, 2013

Headed out this morning around 5:30 am.  It was a dreary morning.  Rainy and foggy all day.  Started off with our daily breakfast of yogurt, breakfast bar and a piece of fruit.  I stayed up till 10:30 trying to master this new phone.  You know me and technology, I have got to learn it as fast as I can.  I guess I will spend the day playing with it some more.  Thanks guys at Verizon!

On the road again!

Beautiful Country Side Zipping By

The mountains are always so majestic.

This really was a pretty site.  Still working on mastering this new phone.

This way to Salem.  Isn't it amazing how many states use the same names for their cities.

Look at the sun trying to peek through the clouds.

Whoops, almost missed this sign.  We also passed Natural Bridge signs a few days ago.

It is so foggy in the morning on the mountains.

Farms Galore out here.  Lot's of cows too.

It's the place that makes all of the trailers that go on the big rigs.

Yep, more cows!

A blurry sign for the Shenandoah Battlefield Historic Sites.

Look! It's a Richmond sign.  Makes us think of our Maci & Ian.
I hope you guys are getting my post cards.

My great Steelers Flip Flops!
(Yes, I am bored - It's rainy today)

Here is the Dynamic Duo.
Trucking Momma doesn't wear makeup or do her hair.

More cool farms.

New Market Battlefield & Museum.
Must mean the Luray Caverns are nearby too.

Now do you really think that Johnny Appleseed runs this place?
I have my doubts, that dude is out planting apple trees.

Oh Yeah, a cool water tower.  I think it is supposed to look like an Air Balloon.

This water tower is a tad bit boring.

It was in Woodstock, VA - Not the Woodstock of the 60's.

Welcome to West Virginia!
(Finally a state that we haven't already been in)

I read this sign "Falling Waters" and I thought to myself, hmmm doesn't water always fall.  I have never seen it go up.  The things that go through your mind on the road.

Another Water Tower in  Berkley County

I was born in Williamsport, IN so I just had to take this picture.  I know we aren't in Indiana, but who knows maybe will get there some day.

Welcome to Maryland!

This is the Potomac River that is the actual border between West Virginia and Maryland.

Antietam Battlefield

Halfway Boulevard?  Where is the other half?
(you know I couldn't resist that one)

Okay, just a little wishful thinking ... Motels

Hey I have a friend whose last name was Showalter.

Welcome to Pennsylvania!

Beautiful Farms again!

And yet another water tower.  If you ever get really thirsty, I know where all the water is.

God Bless America!

You know that when I saw this sign, I started talking in a Scottish accent.
(Anything to keep myself entertained.)

Oh so gorgeous!

Thought it was so cool that when the picture snapped you could see the rows.  When we went by you couldn't see the rows because of our speed.

Well whatda know, it's Scotland Yard.  You better watch out laddies and lassies.

Oh Yeah, a Limo in the air!

More farmland.  PA is full of them.

Harrisburg is where we will be staying tonight.
Going to get a shower, eat and relax!

Yummy, Hersey.

A lot of signs reminding us to be safe.
Buckle of For Safety

We are Here!  Our Home for the Night!

Well today was all driving again.  We are about 40 miles from our location so we will head out at 7:00 am.  That's right I geeeeet to sleeeep in some tomorrow.  Yippee!

Good Night.

Deuteronomy 7:9
Know therefore that the LORD your God is God; he is the faithful God, keeping his covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love him and keep his commands.
