Day Twenty-Six (MS, AL GA, & South Carolina)

August 12, 2013

Woke up early again, but I crawled back into bed again.  I tried to get up and hang with Paul around 5:00 am, but I just couldn't keep my eyes open.  My head was bobbing up and down.  I crawled into his bunk and slept for about 2 1/2 hours.  I woke up and we were already in Alabama.  So no sign from there.  Here is one picture that I snapped as we were leaving Mississippi this morning.

This is a picture of the sun making it's way up.  We are heading EAST so we will be blinded soon.

Very Foggy Morning in Alabama

Look! I slipped in a picture of baby Reilly.  She looks so serious!
This was my morning wake-up picture.

And of course our sweet Liam.  Look at him holding his sister's foot.

Birmingham up ahead!  We have been there once already this past month.

Which way do we go?

Here is where we are on the map.  Just to the WEST of Birmingham, AL

Birmingham, AL

A slight memory of the wonderful rock formations / mountains from Utah.
This does not compare to what we saw last week.

Let the little children come....

Eastaboga?  Some of these names crack me up.

Welcome to Georgia!

We stopped at Wal-Mart and came out to rain.

Six Flags from the other direction.  I tried to get a picture when we came
down this way a couple weeks ago.

Took a wrong turn and now we have to back on the Interstate.

We are actually heading toward Greenville, SC

Passing by Atlanta, GA

Oh my goodness, look at the traffic.

Holly snuck in a picture of her and the baby.  She is such a great Auntie!

Liam trying to show Reilly how to wave.

Greenville up ahead.  We were going to stop and see my niece Chelsea at the Cracker Barrel, but we drove by the exit as we had the numbers mixed up.  Well, in an 18-wheeler you don't turn around and go back.  Sniff, sniff!  I really wanted to see her this trip.

Fancy Overpasses in GA too.

No kidding, we have seen so many streets and highways named after presidents.

GA has some pretty landscapes by their overpasses too.

Yucky traffic again!

A cool overpass!

Reminds me of something yummy to eat right about now.

Crazy Steves?!  Just how crazy is that?

This the Tugaloo River

Welcome to South Carolina!

Stopped at a rest stop for a potty break and I was snapping pictures.

Just love flowers!

On the road again, but unfortunately we missed the exit to Chelsea.
I think the white horse distracted us.

Well, we didn't get far when we ran into more traffic and some rain.  We decided to stay at a TA truck stop tonight.  We got showers, ate dinner and went to bed fairly early.  Had a hard time dozing off though.   I am going to miss this great time with Paul and all the wonderful sites we saw out West.  I didn't get many pictures today as we are getting back to the same-old-same-old stuff.
Tomorrow we head to North Carolina and drop part of our load.  Then we move on to Maryland to drop the rest.  From there we are hoping we will be sent home.

Good Night and God Bless You All.

Exodus 33:14
And He said, "My presence shall go with you,
and I will give you rest."
